We are looking to showcase the huge breadth of opportunities within our sector and are looking forward to meeting you on Friday 1st July.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO SEE?
This event will showcase a wide range of different career paths within the fitness health and wellbeing sector
The education workshops will enable groups of students (year 9 up) to engage with professionals in a variety of different workshops that not only inform students about employment in the sector but also allow them to experience some of the tasks involved. Workshops are limited to twelve students in each discipline and involve the following at present:
Architecture – This will include using a live example of the refurbishment of Haverhill Leisure Centre and how the project was created and designed.
Marketing and Social Media – This workshop will again focus on how to market a leisure facility, including of the activities that take place within it, utilising all forms of media.
Physiotherapy – Working with physiotherapists who work in the NHS providing services to the local population.
Health & Fitness – Showcasing the traditional fitness sector including gym instruction, personal training and exercise classes
Health & Wellbeing – Led by specialist coaches that work with people who aim to improve lives of people who have a range of health issues and need to engage in activity to recover from illness and injury or prevent a reoccurrence.
Climbing & Outdoor Pursuits – Led by expert climbing and outdoor pursuits instructors who deliver a wide range or programmes including Forest Schools, Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme as well as climbing. These individuals also work with a range of organisations to improve teamwork and leadership skills.
