Menta will also be holding various support events for all kinds of business tips from how best to use Facebook and Instagram to how to make good smartphone videos.

There will be a lecture on business sustainability at West Suffolk College and the University of Suffolk will be holding a course on how to eat healthily to boost productivity, and another on leadership skills and Cambridge Norwich Tech Corridor will be holding sessions on understanding the business funding journey.

The EpiCentre is hosting three diverse events including ‘Back to Business’ a business support event for start up or scale up companies, ‘Tech & Beer’ an informal tech networking event with a difference hearing from specialists in the world of tech and science and ‘Changes – Transforming Women in Business’ an inspirational evening to engage locally with women in business to support fast-tracking their beliefs about what is possible in their careers.

The business festival closes with the glittering showcase of the Bury Free Press Business Awards at St Edmundsbury Cathedral on October 15.

Alex Till, CEO at Menta, said: “The entire Menta team love being involved with the business festival.  It’s a time to catch up, take stock, make new connections and celebrate the growing business diversity of our region.  “We have also evolved a new approach to our business festival content with taster sessions in digital skills, pop-up coaching and advice events.”

Phil Stittle, executive director for business at West Suffolk College, said: “We are delighted to once again be supporting the Business Festival.  It will be a chance to celebrate the many success stories of both the college and the community that culminates in the awards ceremony.  The events give people a chance to network, make new connections and find out about the many businesses that are helping the economy of Bury and the surrounding areas. The festival is always a great business showcase.”

West Suffolk Council leader, John Griffiths, said: “The council is delighted to be working with partners to create this great event to support business development, skills growth, networking and more.”
