‘It’s a family affair’ for accounting practice 1 Accounts that has relocated to The EpiCentre from the centre of Haverhill.
The firm that provides accounting, tax and business advice to its clients comprises five members of the Donno family, together with its thirteen support staff.
Former Suffolk Chamber of Commerce Chairman and 2023 Bury Free Press Business Leader of the Year award winner Paul Donno founded the business in 2013 with wife Jenni. They have subsequently been joined by daughters Jade and Katie and Jade’s husband Josh.
Practice Manager, Jade Donno, says: “We decided to move to The EpiCentre, because of the great business community they are building there. We love the networking events that they have every month. They provide a really good opportunity for us to meet other business owners, both from within the centre and from outside. In fact, the day after we moved in we had a new business enquiry from one of the companies at The EpiCentre.
“The building is amazing and everyone is very friendly. The coffee shop is great which our team love and importantly accessibility for those with disabilities is very good,” adds Jade.
Centre Manager, Helen Earl, says: “We are delighted that 1 Accounts is so happy with The EpiCentre and that they are already beginning to benefit from the business eco-system that we have worked hard to create here.”
1 Accounts provides accountancy services throughout Suffolk and Essex, with many clients in Bury St. Edmunds and Cambridge. Director, Paul Donno is a pioneer of cloud-based accounting solutions in the UK. He set up 1 Accounts as an online accountancy practice advocating cloud based solutions and helping businesses move their accounts online.
In 2016, 1 Accounts was awarded “Best New Practice” at the British Accountancy Awards and was a finalist for “Independent Firm of the Year”. 1 Accounts is now a multi-award winning business with accolades from Sage, the British Accountancy Awards, AAT and the 2020 Innovation Group.
