Paradox Business consultancy follows 1 Accounts to The EpiCentre

Paradox Business Consultancy, a tax advisory service, has opened an office at The EpiCentre.

The consultancy is run by Stephen Bunting, together with his partner Hannah Tilson who runs their Kent office in Gravesend. Both had previously worked at accountancy firm BDO Grant Thornton, the seventh-largest global accounting network.

Bunting says: “We provide a service that combines the expertise of tax specialists in large accountancy firms with the dedicated support of a small firm.

“Whether you’re a sole trader looking for ways to claim more tax relief, an accountant looking for support with a complex tax issue, or a large business looking for long-term support, we’re here to help.

“What used to be just problems for big companies, are now being faced by SMEs.  They can’t afford the high fees that the large firms will charge them, so we’re bringing that level of expertise to the SME market at a price they can afford. Most of our clients are other accounts who don’t have the tax expertise or don’t want to do it.”

Paradox already has previous experience of The EpiCentre, has taken a 6-person office on the second floor of The EpiCentre.

Bunting explains: “When we started in business, we had a hot desk here, then we moved into the centre of Haverhill to be closer to accountancy practice 1 Accounts that we do work for. When they decided to move into The EpiCentre, we have followed them and  taken a whole office this time.” Bunting who lives in Haverhill has known Paul Donno of 1Accounts since they were at school together.

“It’s the community here and the atmosphere. It is very professional, there’s good networking opportunities and The EpiCentre management team are very friendly and very helpful,” adds Bunting.

Bunting has two grown up children and his partner is a nurse at Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge. Outside of work he is an active participant in the Chinese martial art of Kung Fu.
