Navigating the early drug discovery journey: a roadmap for emerging companies.
Discovering a new medicine from an initial idea to drug candidate requires navigating a complex series of scientific and strategic decisions.
The seminar will map the key points on the journey through early-stage drug discovery and an overview of the key activities at each stage. The session will also consider how emerging companies can balance in-house capabilities with outsourcing to specialist providers.
Following the seminar there will be opportunity for informal group discussions or one-to-one conversations.
Seminar starts 9.30am – 10am in the pink meeting room
Drop- in session is 10am -12pm in The Hub Cafe. No appointment needed.

“I have nearly 40 years’ experience of small molecule discovery, with key expertise in in vitro biology covering assay development, high-throughput screening (HTS) and compound profiling. My experience spans large pharma and biotech companies and contract research organisations (CRO). In this time, I have worked with project teams around the world from large international pharma companies to single project start-ups, across multiple disease areas and modalities. I founded Sighthound Life Science Consulting at the start of 2025 to leverage my scientific expertise and strong commercial awareness to support drug discovery and platform technology companies.”
