Specialist health and safety consultancy PRR Safety has relocated to The EpiCentre at Haverhill Research Park, providing a well-connected base for its continued growth across East Anglia and the UK.
Situated near the borders of Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Essex, The EpiCentre offers a strategic location from which to support clients across the region while continuing to deliver specialist advice to organisations nationwide.
PRR Safety works with businesses across construction, manufacturing, agriculture, food production, engineering and emerging technologies, providing expertise in areas including DSEAR (Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations), COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health), fire risk assessments, local exhaust ventilation and construction project support under the CDM Regulations.
The consultancy’s approach is shaped by the operational experience of its directors, Jason and Andrew, who draw on their backgrounds in engineering and industry to develop practical solutions that work for the businesses they support.
“Our experience on the engineering and operational sides of industry is a real advantage,” said Jason. “When we’re proposing mitigations, we’re always looking to avoid unnecessary disruption to day-to-day operations. Understanding how a business works in practice helps us recommend solutions that are effective, practical and appropriate for the environment.”
This practical expertise is becoming increasingly relevant as businesses adopt new technologies and processes. PRR Safety is currently undertaking safety work involving large-scale industrial air and water source heat pumps, where flammable refrigerant gases can present specialist risks that need careful assessment and management.
The consultancy has worked with organisations including leading universities, and continues to build relationships with clients across a growing geographical area.
The move to The EpiCentre supports the next stage of that development, providing a base for the team to strengthen regional relationships, welcome clients and explore new opportunities. The premises also offer additional space for specialist equipment, alongside access to the park’s business community and support.
Helen Earl, Centre Manager at The EpiCentre, said: “We welcome PRR Safety to The EpiCentre. Jason and Andrew have built a business around specialist expertise and practical industry experience, and we want to help them build on that success. As they look to expand their team and reach new markets, our business support, networking opportunities and wider community can provide valuable connections and opportunities to help them grow.”
With its new base established, PRR Safety is looking to build on its existing client relationships, extend its reach and continue providing specialist health and safety support to businesses across the UK.
