Highworth Care Ltd, a domiciliary and respite care business, has taken space at The EpiCentre in Haverhill, and is expanding its services in Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Essex.
It currently employs three full-time staff, has seven carers on its books and is recruiting more. As an added benefit it has a license from the Home Office to bring staff in from all over the world to overcome the healthcare/social care staffing shortages in the UK.
The company is family owned and managed by Thabani Bafanah, who trained as an Oncology Therapy Radiographer (Radiotherapy) and worked at Addenbrookes Hospital for eight years before training to be a Management Accountant in the NHS healthcare sector.
Highworth Care Ltd provides personal home care for the sick and elderly supporting them with personal care, nutrition, medication and support giving them access to the surrounding community and its facilities. It also provides short-term respite care after patients come out of hospital or if family members are away or unavailable, as well as Live-In and Overnight Care.
The business was incorporated in 2019, and Thabani had this to say: “The EpiCentre is geographically very central for our services in the Anglia region, and it is a bonus to have the Cambridgeshire postcode.”
“The EpiCentre management has been very helpful, they loaned us furniture initially when we moved in and while our office was being prepared and did all they could to help. Nothing is too much trouble, if there are any snagging issues with the accommodation it is sorted out promptly and it is a real benefit having the reception facilities included in our package.”

Highworth Care Ltd has grown by 300% in the last 12 months both in terms of clients being looked after, staff growth and income turnover.
