The Mind-Body Connection – Free Workshop with Kelly Mepham
May 12 @ 12:30 - 13:00

Delivered by Kelly Mepham, founder of Train In Sync, specialising in workplace wellbeing and performance through evidence-based lifestyle strategies, as part of Mental Health Awareness Week 2026
What we do with our bodies has a profound impact on how we think, feel, and perform. Yet in busy academic and professional environments, the fundamentals of health—movement, nutrition, and sleep—are often the first to be compromised.
As part of Mental Health Awareness Week, this practical session explores the growing body of evidence linking physical health behaviours with mental wellbeing. Drawing on current research, we will look at how regular movement can reduce anxiety and improve cognitive function, how nutrition supports sustained energy and the gut-brain connection, and why sleep is critical for emotional regulation, resilience, and decision-making.
In line with this year’s theme of “action”, the session will focus on realistic, evidence-informed strategies that can be implemented immediately within a working day. Attendees will leave with a clear understanding of how small, consistent changes to daily habits can meaningfully support both mental health and professional performance, along with a concise take-away guide to support ongoing practice.
Feel free to turn up on the day!
